The lightning thief is a very interesting book.I think the author, Rick Riordan is a very talented.
Percy Jackson is one of the main character. He is a very troubled kid that has dyslexia he can't read that well
because the words come out of the page and has to go to a very special school for people with dyslexia.
Every year he gets attacked by a monster or he gets in danger some how or another. His Latin teacher is a
centaur.
Grover a half-blood searcher realizes percy he is a half-blood, half human half god. Percy goes on a quest
to save the world from having a war that may cost the world to end. a very important weapon was stolen "the
master bolt" which is a lightning bolt that belongs to the god, Zeus. The book is based on Greek gods and
myths. The gods such as Zeus, Poseidon, Hades and more. The Greek gods and myths were told to explain
how and why lightning happened, and weren't you went if you died and more beliefs to explain why things
happened.
I watched the movie of the lightning thief , but in my opinion the book was way better. The thing about
movies is that the plot is different and there are different settings. Its like watching or reading a new book or
movie. I would rate the book on a scale from 1 to 10 a 9. It was very fun to read the book because there
was a lot of suspension and action that made it really interesting . I feel that I learned a lot about Greek gods
and myths while enjoying the book.

author's note
As I was growing up, I was the youngest child in the family, my brothers were 31 and 34 I was only 5. I got everything I wanted. A year later my brother had a baby. It changed everything.I didn't get the attention I wanted and everyone stopped calling me adorable and ignored me when the baby was around . I know how it feels to be ignored.
the book im writing about is about Ryan a 6 year old that his mom is having a baby. when his mom has a baby everyone ignores him and gives more attention to the new born baby. he grows jealous and is angry at the baby. he yells at the baby when noones around...what will he do next....

social awareness
In the book 'tears of a tiger' by Andy, the main character was driving a car, he crashed killing his best friend.
He is tempted to commit suicide because he feels really guilty. I think this is very important because he doesn't
get any help from his parents or his shrink that he was seeing. People in real life think about killing themselves
because they think they are pressured too much and they are stressed out. in the book I was reading Andy
was really stressed out of his friend's death and in the end he killed him self. i believe adults should become
more responsible of their children. Parent's should ask simple questions to their child's like 'how was school
today'. to see how they're feeling or at least to show that they care about them. everyday when I get home my
parent's ask me to tell them how school was like, they really care.Kids are stressed out today because they
feel like they are gettin to much homework especially in 8th grade.
I think that teachers and parents should really help kids understand and show examplesof how its done. I
would recommend the book 'tears of a tiger' to anyone who feels that they want to experience being uncared
for. be happy for what you have.

apreciation
In the book the Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe I can connect to Lucy because she is really brave. On
the beginning pages of the book, she fines the wardrobe and she tells everyone about it but no one believes
her. but she still tries to convince them. Edmund is really mean through out the book he lies about the
wardrobe that leads to the world of Narnina Being real and he betrays everyone for his own selfish needs,
just for some turkish delight so he can side with the evil witch who calls herself the queen of Narnia. Lucy is
also kind, she forgives Edmund after all he did to her, how he betrayed his brothers and sisters and how he
lied about narnina beling fake in the first place. Lucy is a very smart girl. she was the one who lead her
brothers and sister to narnina. what I apperciate about the book is that it is very descriptive, and the elements
of fantasy makes me feel like im in the book. the children also have a cool accent that I like. I also like the
world narnina in general. I like how edmund betrays his brothers and sisters for his greed too. the characters
alot throughout the book and its very intresting to read and see how.

reading responce on theme
evidence to prove this.
On the first page, Mrs.Arable, fern’s mother says to fern, “one of the pigs is a
runt . It’s very small and weak and it will never amount to anything. So your father
had decided to do away with it” But the pig is saved by fern and on page 4 and
Mr. Arable says “he’s yours, saved from an untimely death”
One page 44, chapter 6 the goose’s eggs are hatched and there are 7 new
goslings. And on page 49 Wilbur hears the bad news that he is going to get killed
and he’s going to turn into smoked bacon and ham.
One page 166, the author writes, “springtime,” said the old sheep thoughtfully.
“another spring.” And ask walked away Wilbur saw a new lamb following her. It
was only a few hours old
On page 177, chapter 22, Wilbur notices something move. A tiny spider crawled
out of the sac that Charlotte made. And then two spiders came out and then
more and more . That happens after charlotte dies.
